Gabriel Hatcher, II was born in Denver, Colorado and currently resides in Louisville, Kentucky. Garbriel is the proud father of four young men. A musician, producer, songwriter and the CEO and owner of PhatChordz Productions LLC. At an early age, Gabriel began playing in the church, first playing the drums, then upon the passing of his cousin, Gabriel found interest in playing piano. It was Gabriel’s father, Gabriel Hatcher Sr., that prayed a prayer of “faith and blessings” at a Sunday evening service that opened the door for God to do marvelous things in Gabriel’s life! It is also through his Mother, First Lady Karen Hatcher, that he accredits may of his successes to; through her powerful ministry of preaching and singing, he’s gained a strong foundation of discipline, structure, and how to have undeniable faith.
Through the years Gabriel has developed his own unique sound and identity as a musician and a producer. He’s been blessed to travel throughout the United States and internationally as a musician and musical director.
Gabriel is a Grammy nominated, 6x Stellar Award nominated, and Dove Award winning producer. Credited for co-writing and producing the hit gospel song “Better”, recorded by Hezekiah Walker. Gabriel has accompanied artists such as: Jason Clayborn. Stephen McWhirter, Vashawn Mitchell, J.J. Hairston, Zacardi Cortez, Geoffrey Golden, Joshua Rodgers, Alexis Spight, Lamar Campbell, and many others.
Gabriel is currently slated to release his debut instrumental album entitled “Melodies of My Heart” in Fall 2023.
